DIETER FUNK

FUNK
It is immediately clear: Dieter Funk is not a spectator, but a man of action. He is a creative visionary and a passionate eyewear designer, along with his crew. His very strict optics teacher really had to force him to apply exactly what he had been taught. However, the moment he made his first glasses by hand, he discovered his passion.

Today, Dieter Funk makes his collection by hand in his own eyewear workshop in Kinsau, Bavaria. For example, the designer preserves old color techniques, uses vintage acetate or his latest innovation:
recycled acetate.

For him there are no compromises when it comes to transparency and quality. The collection is characterized as an eyewear line with which a statement can be made. From funky acetate to retro and characteristic titanium with an 80s look.

The design of Dieter Funk's glasses is pure, with clear lines and without unnecessary frills. In his RAW project, Dieter Funk goes one step further: angular corners create even more defined shapes. For a matt play of colours, polishing is done purely by hand. The RAW project is unadulterated eyewear craftsmanship.

SASHEE SCHUSTER
Designer Sashee Schuster is a collector of natural materials. The finds from her expeditions through fields and forests are safely stored on the shelves of her studio. There you will find pots filled with barley, wildflowers, leaves, herbs or even feathers. “My glasses are made by hand in the FUNK factory in Kinsau, Bavaria.

During the process, the petals, seeds or feathers that I have collected are laminated into the raw material acetate. This results in unique designs with a touch of nature.”
