Lafont's roots lie in the city of love, Paris.
In 1923, Louis Lafont opened his first optician's shop, followed by 5 more optician's shops over the years, led by his son Philippe Lafont, who designed their first collection together with his wife Laurence in 1979. 44 years later and 3 generations further, the collection shines like never before.
The 2 sons of Philippe and Laurence, Thomas (designer) and Matthieu (director) continue to write history from the capital of fashion. The Parisian design and French production in Morbier / Jura ensure that the collection is distributed in 40 countries worldwide.
The French lifestyle, Parisian elegance and discreet luxury, together with technical knowledge and quality materials are the essence of Lafont. Lafont designs 5 collections: for women and men, optical and sunglasses, vintage réédition and Issy&là for youth and a frivolous children's collection called Lafont Enfant.
