Johnny Loco, originally Dutch, gets his inspiration for his glasses from films and series. For example, each model bears a name of a famous movie character. For example, the model Cliff from the movie ‘Once upon a time in Hollywood’ or the model Maverick from the movie ‘Top Gun’.

The producer of Johnny Loco works as accurately as possible and as little material as possible is wasted. For example, they select cellulose acetate sheets from a.o. Mazzucchelli, which has been “maturing” in the basement of the factory for years in the right conditions. Hardly any new plates are produced for the collection and the colors are determined on the basis of what is in stock.
